Luke's Chiropractic Techniques
Gonstead
Luke is very experienced in this precise, hands-on technique developed by Dr. Clarence Gonstead. It emphasises thorough analysis to detect and correct specific vertebral subluxations, primarily through manual adjustments delivered with high accuracy and minimal force. Often called the "gold standard" of chiropractic, it focuses on restoring proper spinal biomechanics for optimal nervous system function.
CBP
Chiropractic BioPhysics (CBP) is an advanced, research-based chiropractic technique founded in 1980 that applies physics and biomechanics to spinal care. It focuses on structural rehabilitation—using precise postural analysis, mirror-image adjustments, corrective exercises, and spinal traction to restore optimal spinal alignment and curves. Often considered the most evidence-based approach, CBP targets long-term correction of posture and subluxations to improve nervous system function, reduce pain, and enhance overall health.
Diversified Technique
Luke often uses advanced diversified techniques learned throughout many years of dedicated training, with a focus in the restoration of function within the spine and nervous system.

What is Chiropractic?
Chiropractic is a method of spinal adjustments that aims to encourage alignment of the spine. Chiropractors are experts at examining the spine, locating the areas of most stress, restriction, and irritation, then forming a rehabilitation plan to return your spine to normal function. When the spine stops moving, balancing, and functioning as normal, this places additional stress on the joints, muscles, and nerves, reducing your function and leading to a variety of symptoms including pain, stiffness, muscle tension, muscle weakness, pins & needles, and much more.
Chiropractic is a harmony of science and philosophy with the aim of helping the body to function at its optimum. Chiropractic is focused on achieving spinal alignment through specific and targeted adjustments to improve the biomechanical health of your spine. Every day, thousands of people visit Chiropractors as a way to stay healthy, increase flexibility, and improve posture for a better life and sports performance.

What is the cause of your symptoms?
Your nervous system controls and regulates every movement and every process in your body. Misalignments in your spine can cause interference with your nervous system, leading to negative effects on your health and overall performance, and in some cases causing symptoms including pain, numbness, pins & needles, and tingling.
Unlike painkillers, which can mask your symptoms, Chiropractors look to diagnose the main underlying cause and treat these accordingly. To find the cause, we take a full history and perform a physical; this can include a neurological, cardiovascular, abdominal and respiratory screening, range of motion testing and gait evaluation. Should the Chiropractor determine that further investigation is necessary, we have Digital X-Ray facilities onsite. There may be times when we may need to refer you back to your GP for further tests.
Your Chiropractor will use effective adjustments to help correct any misalignments and encourage your body’s own healing mechanisms.
